Bathing a pig can be a challenge for any pig parent. Some pigs love the water and bath time and others the sound of the water gets them screaming, running and throwing fits. Using a dog lick pad in tub or just adding peanut butter to edges of tub will buy you some time to clean your pig. (warning pigs are known for pooping and peeing in warm water lol)

Pigs are clean animals despite the image that people think they are nasty and smelly animals. Baths are not needed more than few times a year since it can dry out the pigs skin.
Pigs have coarse hair and yes you get one in your shirt or stuck in your sock you will know. OUCH. A good brushing after a bath works to remove any loose hair. Pigs will blow their coat (hair) once a year some can lose their hair multiple times a year.
Adding biotin to feed will help (skin & nails)10,000mcg daily
When bathing pig, using hose, or shower time make sure no water gets into ears as it can cause infections as well as other issues. If water accidently got into ears lay pig on side of head tilt and massage so it can drain water out and monitor. If head tilt, shaking, rubbing ear continues for 24 hours contact vet
Using a baby shampoo is gentle to pigs skin. Lotions should not be used as they can clog up piggy pores. Oils rubbed onto piggy at night will work overnight to soften pigs skin and prevent sunburns during the day.
