Adding a ramp for pig to get off your patio, steps, deck, or other areas can help them reach ground level. Some pigs can do steps if trained with no issue and most use the ramp with ease. However, training some pigs to use a ramp can be a challenge. Treats and patience works best. When using a ramp for your car or truck set it on the ground first and let pig walk on it and praise. Slowly raise it to car or truck level over several days as your pig gets adjusted to it being raised. Raising a ramp at small levels can be done by steps (each step is a different level) If no steps available can use concrete blocks, beams even bring into home and use what is available for height adjustments. Ramps for the car and your bed works the same, patience until your pig knows he is safe. Pigs feel secure if they have rails and good traction (example: shingles, outdoor carpet, runner strips, thin boards every few feet)
