Once you adopt your 8week old piglet and bring it home and get all settled the fun begins.

Piglets taken early do not have proper training from mom which is where you come in to help. Pigs do not like to be held if not socialized they will get spooked, scream, kick and cry or bite (needle teeth these will fall out on their own)
Young piglets will use your leg by licking and sucking up and down leg or toe seeking milk as if it was momma tits. Pigs that do this have been removed from mom early. Remove pig from doing this and offer a toy, stuffed animal, rooting mats etc to distract him/her.
When picking up pig cradle pig close to your chest and swaddle legs close to your chest like a baby same if holding on lap be sure to hold securely against chest. Pigs also like to be covered with blankets and bury themselves under a pile.

For 4months-5months pigs love to sleep, eat and potty and be held to sleep. They can jump up onto a couch, bed over a gate also at this young age. They’re at the age they want and need you to teach them what is expected from them. They will act like you are killing them when you pick them up, snap at you when you put them down or if they are hungry (at this age 24/7) unless you teach them and be consistent. https://magssnoutkisses.com/amount-to-feed/
The toddler stage is coming soon, and most will not want to be picked up so enjoy it when you can. Activities are important to keep pig from destroying things or eating things that are dangerous. https://magssnoutkisses.com/toys-d-i-y-ideasenrichment/
Pigs need a bedtime schedule also and a routine. Having pig sleep near you works for some yet as they grow issues occur and pig is not happy.
In order to prevent sleep issues, make an area in a closet, crate, tent in pigs own area. Cover area with blanket and add a radio. Each night uses the same routine and always say goodnight. Soon pig will be ready for bedtime and let you know when he/she is ready. Side note silly pig might head to his space when he is mad also.
